Kota Kinabalu, November 2, 2025: The Kad Konsesi Registration Drive held at the Foh Sang commercial area from November 1 to 2 concluded as a success, marking a key milestone in supporting the launch and trial service of the new BAS.MY Kota Kinabalu bus network.
The two-day event effectively registered eligible residents for the concession card, providing access to unlimited free rides on BAS.MY service.
The drive was strategically timed to coincide with the ongoing trial service of the BAS.MY S05 route, allowing newly registered users to immediately experience the improved public transportation service. BAS.MY Kota Kinabalu is an initiative under the federal government’s Stage Bus Service Transformation (SBST) programme.
The full deployment of the service across eight routes is anticipated to connect key areas like the city centre, Kota Kinabalu International Airport, and major residential zones. The initiative focused on groups prioritized for public transport concessions, specifically targeting children aged below 18 years old, university students, Persons with Disabilities (OKU) with OKU card, and senior citizens (60 years old and above).
