KOTA KINABALU, 10 October 2025 BAS.MY Kota Kinabalu officially began its trial operations for Route S05 on 10 October 2025, with its main operations hub established at KK Sentral. This event marked the first step in bringing a smarter and cleaner bus service to the city.
Throughout the trial period, the public had the opportunity to experience the comfortable, air-conditioned new buses. The S05 trial run buses operated at four key times; 7:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 2:00 PM, and 5:00 PM, allowing as many passengers as possible to try the service.
During the Route S05 trial period, passengers were able to easily board BAS.MY and travel for free. Passengers hopped straight onto the bus, with no card tapping or scanning required and absolutely no payment collected, allowing them to freely enjoy the journey.
The BAS.MY team was delighted to see the consistent support and happy faces of passengers who tried the trial bus service. The public’s involvement and support were highly appreciated, as they helped spread this positive initiative made possible through the efforts of the Federal Government (via the Ministry of Transport) and the Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (LPKP) Sabah Team.
