Kota Kinabalu, September 27, 2025: The public transportation system in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, is set to receive a major boost following the successful soft launching ceremony of BAS.MY Kota Kinabalu. The event, held lively at KK Sentral, marks a significant milestone in improving public mobility in the region.


The soft launch was officiated by the Minister of Transport Malaysia, YB Tuan Loke Siew Fook, highlighting the federal government’s commitment to enhancing regional transport infrastructure.
The BAS.MY initiative is poised to inject a new lease of life into Sabah’s public transportation system. This service promises a fleet of modern, comfortable, and “rakyat-friendly” buses with the aims to encourage more residents and visitors to utilise public transport. BAS.MY initiative committed to make daily commutes and city travel more pleasant and efficient.


This new service aligns with the national vision for a more integrated and sustainable transport network. BAS.MY Kota Kinabalu is designed to be efficient, seamless and sustainable.
